Anita Terzic-Kostadinova is pleased to announce the launch of her new pet food and supplies company – Pet Wants Rockville.
Pet Wants’ specially-crafted, private-label pet food formulas are made in small batches with fresh, natural ingredients enhanced with vitamins and minerals for a complete and balanced diet in every bowl. Pet Wants Rockville has multiple blends of dog and cat food formulas as well as healing salve, calming balm, anti-itch spray, paw wax and more. Pet Wants Rockville offers free, personal delivery throughout Montgomery County, including Rockville, Gaithersburg and Potomac.
“Pet Wants provides a convenient, knowledgeable, holistic approach to caring for pets through quality nutrition. When my husband, Peter, and I became pet parents, it was almost like having a baby. We read up on what we needed to do to provide the best care for them and, when it came to food, trying to understand all the options was overwhelming. As the owners of Pet Wants, we can help you learn about what’s in – and not in – our food and other products so you can make the best decisions for you and your pets,” Anita said.
Pet Wants has a money-back guarantee on the freshness and quality of the food and the company only sources the best salmon, chicken, lamb, brown rice and other ingredients available. There’s no sugar added, no fillers and no animal by-products and Pet Wants never uses corn, wheat, soy or dyes, which makes the food great for animals with allergies.
Anita and Peter each have a long history helping animals – when Peter was 10 years old, he and his brother adopted and cared for a stray dog they named Tsutsi and, when Anita was 12, she adopted an abandoned kitten and fed it goat milk using an eyedropper. They now have two Shiba Inus – a 3-year-old boy named Yoshi and a 1-year-old girl named Kimi.
Anita and Peter met at Lund University in Sweden, where Anita earned her graduate business degree and Peter earned his economic history degree. They immigrated to United States from Sweden and they are proud supporters of an animal rescue that takes cats and dogs off the streets and works to find them homes throughout Europe. As they settled in Maryland, Anita knew she wanted to open a business that allowed them to serve the community and, if possible, work with animals.
“Our pets’ well-being is extremely important to us and we truly believe that every pet parent wants to provide the best care for their pet. With Pet Wants, I found an opportunity to both run a business that supports our family and help others while positively impacting the lives of the pets in our community,” Anita said.
